It's the Auction Season, and We Need Your Help!

The sky is the limit on all ideas! Think of everyone you know: family, friends, neighbors, and associates that may own a business or service that would be willing to donate. If you have a lead, or an item or service to donate, please contact our donation committee chairperson, Lori LaForge with any questions or comments. Your generosity and efforts are appreciated – they make a difference in the lives of each student at Harmony and Salmon Creek schools. Thank you very much!

The auction donation deadline is upon us To download a donation form, click here, or pick one up at the school office. Here are some donation ideas to get you started:

Host a Party: Throw a Kid Party. It's easy! Think about what your kids love to do, and then donate something they would enjoy. Love to cook? Host a cookie-making party. Are you (or your spouse) an ace surfer? How about surfing lessons and a beach breakfast? Throw a costume party in July, a scavenger hunt party, an old-fashioned picnic with sack races and an egg toss. Kids are easy to please – they will enjoy whatever you think would be fun.; Even better, throw a Grown-Up Party. Ever feel like your entire life has come down to carpooling and supervising homework? Can you even find the party clothes in the back of your closet? When was the last time you had a margarita? The parties at last year's auction were some of our most popular items, and parents are hungry for more!; Would you love to spend a weekday lounging by the pool and eating fancy salads? Donate a ladies-only pool party! Love to play Texas Hold 'Em? So do we! Buy some nuts and host a poker night! Recruit your favorite yoga teacher, and host a yoga and smoothies party. Plug in the blender and throw a Mexican Fiesta! Drag out the disco music, and recreate the ’70s at your place.
Tickets for Sporting Events or Concerts: Tickets to football, baseball, basketball, and hockey games are always a big hit. Consider tickets to the theater, ballet, or a lecture series. How about a season pass to a zoo or museum that your family enjoys?
Wine: Consider donating a favorite bottle (or case) of wine.
Vacation Homes: Do you have a vacation home? Do you know anyone with a vaction home? Consider donating a weekend or more!
Frequent Flier Miles/Hotel Vouchers: These are always popular items, and can be paired with the use of a great vacation home.
Share your Talent/Hobby: Donate a piece of art, a quilt, jewelry/beading, knitting, scrapbooking, food, photography, or host a party/lesson. A big hit with kids and adults alike!
Gift Certificates: Choose a place or service that you or your family enjoy. Maybe a restaurant, hair stylist, gymnastics studio, auto detailing, or manicurist…the possibilities are endless!
Lessons: Music, foreign language, surfing, yoga, cooking, golf, swimming, karate, dance, and horseback riding are some examples to consider.
Share an Experience: Invite a group to join you on a sailing, fishing, or camping trip, etc.
Home-Cooked Meal Delivery: Deliver a delicious meal or your favorite homemade dessert.
Professional Services: Landscape design consultation, architectural consultation, massage therapy, skin care, or graphic design services are popular in our area.
Donor Pool: If it’s easier for you to donate cash, consider writing a check to our donor pool. This money will be used by the Auction Committee to buy additional items needed to complete auction packages.
